With the Tea Party record in run-offs being strong, it will be interesting to see if those PACs decide to save their money for the late summer and fall for seats that will be net gains in the Senate and House.

Spending money against fellow Republicans is not smart IMO. If I remember correctly the Cochran campaign spent $8 million against McDaniel so far and most of that money coming from the Washington GOP. That ridiculous. It's time for Washington establishment and the Cochran voters to humble up and save their energy and resources for the general election in November.

In the general Mississippi won't be close and McDaniel will be the new senator. The GOP needs to spend smarter on other races. For example ousting Landreiu. She is going to be terribly difficult to beat and the GOP needs to support Cassidy rather than throwing money and resources down the drain in a primary fight in Mississippi.

I think Thad is being used by Haley Barbour and his ilk. I don't think he even wanted to run. This is represented by the fact he didn't even address his own gathering last night. I think he is in poor health and only did this to appease an ally of the past in Haley Barbour.
