If you're red snapper fishing, you won't need even 50#, if you're tuna jigging or throwing poppers you'll want the line capacity more than the line strength, and if you hook an AJ or big grouper, your braid line strength won't matter as much as your ability to physically move the boat away from the rig before he can wrap you up.
If the max drag you can put out is 30# (and the tightest you'll ever want to set it is maybe 20#), and you're using a beefy leader for abrasion resistance, your braided line strength should be appropriate to handle 1.5-2x your drag setting. I vote 50#.
If I were setting that rig up, I'd use 50#, too.
