CNN: Ultra liberal bull - I can't stand the articles, and ESPECIALLY the comments section. Holy crap PC and liberal agendas Batman! Seriously, f CNN.
Fox: Ultra conservative bull. Like CNN's schizo buddy.
WSJ/tNYT: Slight biases, but not to the extent of a "join us" mentality.

Switch to the WSJ or tNYT.

The only thing worth a shite on Fox News is Shep Smith. The rest is just garbage. Even if you are conservative, I don't see how someone could watch other Fox News programming and not want to put their head through a wall. It's the same thing day in and day out. Whether it's that harpy Greta Van Sustren yelling at me through the side of her mouth, or the douche hypocrite Bill O'Reilly smarmily talking about morality... it's just all crap.

Get news from news agencies: AP,Reuters, WSJ, etc.

More and more people get their information and entertainment from the internet. The networks-not just the news networks, but all networks-are left fighting over a shrinking, splintering audience.

Who watches TV any more? People over 50 (and especially over 60), the less educated, the less intelligent, the less sophisticated. That's who the networks go after. So you've got Fox's shrillness and scare tactics, interspersed with commercials for catheters and gold bullion. CNN's fluff pieces, although Anderson Cooper and a few others do good journalism when management lets them. Say what you will about MSNBC's bias, but they do operate from the assumption that their audience has more than an 8th grade education. But people like that are all on the internet, which is why MSNBC's ratings are so low.

As for whether any of them believe that shite-Hannity and a few others-and on the left, Maddow and a few others probably do. The behind the scenes people all graduated from the same schools and migrate back and forth between jobs. Greg Gutfeld's producer may be working for Chris Hayes next month and Wolf Blitzer next year. They throw whatever shite against the wall the powers that be tell them to.

UCLA did a study that showed some interesting findings.

UCLA Media Bias Study

They essentially tied the media bias to the source of their news, and tied the sources to the politicians that used those same sources. Politicians are scored by the ADA on how liberal/conservative they are, so it stands to reason that a liberal news outlet will use the same sources as someone like Nancy Pelosi, and a right-wing news outlet will use the same sources as someone like Ted Cruz.

For example, if Nancy Pelosi frequently uses Moveon.org as a source of her information, then Moveon.org will have a more liberal rating, since Pelosi has a liberal ADA rating. If Ted Cruz uses Moveon.org as a source of information in his writings, then their rating will move to the right.

If MSNBC uses Moveon.org information in 90% of their newscasts, but uses, say, the Heritiage Foundation as a source in 0% of their newscasts, then MSNBC will be be scored as a more liberal news outlet, based on the fact that they use the same news sources as the most liberal congressmen.
