Holy frick. This must be the only game you've watched this series

Its close but bosh is better

It pretty much does, actually.
No it doesn't, unless you completely ignore positions.

And being better means providing more value.

That's a different topic altogether, I am not debating the award. I am defending the "better player # more valuable" made earlier.

not really.
See game 7 of the finals last season.
Meh... Duncan makes that bunny to tie it and who knows.
If I had to bet it on it, I don't think Miami wins a Game 7 on the road against San Antonio if Bosh gives you nothing

That's only true if all players were playing at their full potential, which isn't the case. Wade for example had to take a small step back to let Lebron shine.
An above average center, for example, would be more valuable to the heat than Bosh. That wouldn't make said player better than bosh.
The example above doesn't completely convey my point because the Heat formula has obviously been working, but I just wanted to stay with the Heat since that's where the argument started.

Wade is pretty much washed up.

Positions in basketball are pretty arbitrary anyway.

Miami won game 7 against the Spurs without Bosh scoring a single point. They aren't winning with D Wade throwing up a goosegg.
That ignores the other side of the court.

That ignores the other side of the court.
Duncan had 24 and 12 on 18 shots.

This thread is the perfect example of the short memories our society has these days. Even if you just want to compare this series, here are the stat lines of each player:
Bosh:
Game 1 - 9 pts (4-12 shooting), 2 rebounds, 4 assists, 0 blocks, 0 steals
Game 2 - 9 pts (4-9 shooting), 6 rebounds, 0 assists, 1 block, 2 steals
Game 3 - 9 pts (4-12 shooting), 4 rebs, 0 assists, 0 blocks, 1 steal
Game 4 - 25 pts (7-12 shooting), 6 rebs, 1 assist, 1 block, 0 steals
Bosh Averages in the Series:
13 ppg (42%), 4.5 rebounds, 1.25 assists, 0.5 blocks, 0.75 steals
Wade:
Game 1 - 27 points (12-18 shooting), 1 rebound, 4 assists, 0 blocks, 0 steals
Game 2 - 23 points (10-16 shooting), 5 rebounds, 5 assists, 0 blocks, 1 steals
Game 3 - 23 points (9-16 shooting), 4 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 blocks, 3 steals
Game 4 - 15 points (4-12 shooting), 2 rebounds, 2 assists, 0 blocks, 2 steals
Wade averages:
22 ppg (56%), 3 rpg, 3.75 apg, 0.25 blocks per game, 1.5 steals per game
Bosh had one better game than Wade of the 4.
Also, to the guy that claims that value and being better are one in the same...No, you are wrong. Your second best player on the team could be your backup pg. Does that mean he is automatically your second most valuable? Not at all.
Value depends on your replacement. Being better does not depend on any other factors outside of that players ability and play.
Bosh:

Your second best player on the team could be your backup pg.

This argument is going to go nowhere, because you obviously will never understand the simple difference, but I will just make one more post to validate my original point.
At one point, Jason Kidd and Steve Nash were on the same team. Let's just say that one doesn't get traded and they continue on the same roster which stays put for a couple of seasons.
There were other good players on this team such as Antonio Mcdyess, Cliff Robinson, Rex Chapman, Cedric Ceballos and Dennis Scott. All good players, but none hall of famers like Kidd and Nash.
The best player rankings would probably go:
1. Kidd
2. Nash (could argue for one, but was the backup so let's put him at 2)
3. McDyess
4. Robinson
5. Chapman
6. Scott
7. Ceballos
Was Nash be the second most valuable on this team though as a backup pg though? This team was pretty weak down low compared to its backcourt depth, so one could easily make the argument that Mcdyess would be more valuable than Nash even though Nash is a hall of famer (and superior player.)

This is one of the dumbest threads I've read. Mostly because I'm appalled at how many people actually think Bosh has an argument. Heat fans. I should know better.
