I think nearly EVERYONE knows a late season winning (or losing) steak is POSSIBLE. If you expected this to happen, you are a homer or you don't know baseball at all and you will be wrong five times for every time you get it right. Criticizing others for being more realistic tells me you probably don't realize baseball is a numbers game.

If we are fans, we hoped for this run. If we are homers, we expected this run. Such as only the biggest of the homers expected LSU to play for the football MNC in 2007 after losing to Arkansas. The realist knew it was such a long shot, they refused to even get their hopes up.

P.S. Homers (optimist) are the definition of fans (fanatics) and I appreciate their optimism and I am not criticizing them.
