Jerry Springer Show owns that distinction.

Can't stand her show. Reminds me of the lowest common denominators of society.
The truth hurts. There are a bunch of low lifes out there and JJ excoriates them. That's why Lucy and I watch. We love the sight of stupid POS getting humiliated. It's a vicarious thing since we are not allowed to just shoot them IRL.
FYI, the reason the announcer says 'these are REAL people and REAL cases' is due to German TV trying to copy her success. They couldn't find enough miscreants in Germany to make entertaining TV.
It would go like this on "Judge Bismark"
Announcer: Today, Judge Bismark sees za case of Fritz who was arrested for throwing a gum wrapper on ze sidewalk. Fritz inzists that it was his ex-girl friend, Brumhelda and he counter-zues for pain and zuffering."
So, since the Germans don't have as much trashy people as the US, they hired actors to portray trash. That got back to JJ and she added the disclaimer that her cases are real.

That is because they indeed are what you declare them to be.
