And here is why...

Basically, like I said a week ago, people love it when LSU plays like this and is a bubble team for a national seed...
We are starting to catch on

If LSU wins the SEC Tournament it will grab the other National Seed and may still take it with a championship berth depending on how Rice and Houston close out their conference tournaments. Rice or Oklahoma State can get there by winning their conference tournaments and having LSU get bumped by Arkansas in the semifinals.

LSU is an incredibly dangerous team. They're probably dangerous in the super regionals regardless of where they play, though a national seed is not out of the question depending on what happens tomorrow.

What a wild past couple of weeks it has been for the Tigers. Just over a week ago, the Tigers were considered a team that needed to do some work to get a host site. Now, enough has broken their way that they have a very good shot to nab one of the top eight national seeds. It is not void of stiff competition, though, with teams such as Ole Miss, Miami, Cal Poly and South Carolina also in the mix, with Cal Poly and South Carolina looking the least likely right now. Going inside LSU’s resume, the Tigers are 43-14 overall, have an RPI of 8, are 4-7 vs. RPI Top 25, 15-12 vs. RPI Top 50 and 22-12 vs. RPI Top 100, in addition to an 8-2 record in their last 10 games. Though the Tigers have a non-conference RPI of 36, the committee absolutely could choose to hold a non-conference SOS of 269 against Paul Mainieri’s club.

If we win, it's a lock. Lose, I think we travel, assuming we stay hot.

My main concern with hosting a super is, will they put two super regionals in the state of Louisiana?
I do feel the seating capacity at the Box can be a huge plus for LSU.

What does a national seed give us? Bye or something?

During team selection, eight teams are given national seeds. These teams automatically host a super regional if they advance past the regional round. As in other NCAA tournaments, conference champions (usually determined by a tournament) receive automatic bids, and the selection committee fills the remaining spots.
