Also, Asik has really only had one good year rebounding. Monroe's rebounding numbers over their careers are better. (9.0 RPG for Monroe vs. 7.2 RPG for Asik)
I am serious. And don't call me Shirley.
And I was just trying to point out that Asik hasn't proven he does this on a consistent basis yet.

Shirley you can't just compare raw production of players that play different amounts of minutes.
Per 36 rebounds last 4 years
Asik 14.1 14.0 13.0 11.1
Monroe 10.2 10.4 11.0 9.7
Rebounding percent
Asik 21.7%
Monroe 15.4%
Now there is a bit of a question of competition level, starting unit versus backups, but the minutes normalized numbers say Asik is an elite rebounder and Monroe is on the positive side of OK.

Monroe has a career TREB% of 16.6 and averages 10.3 REB/36.
Asik is at 20.9 and 13.3 REB/36.
Monroe has played almost twice as many minutes (9600 to 5300) but the one season Asik played starter minutes (2400 first year in HOU), he put up rebounding numbers roughly consistent (actually better than) with what he has done in limited time
