I would do something in between Lollapalooza/Ozz Fest, with a twist of the old Rock Fest. The following is if there is no curfew law and I wanted to get as many 15-65 year olds as I could. I would charge $50 (not thru Tickemaster if "Vedderly" possible). I have always wanted to start my own tours. Tragically, I will likely never be able to. Still...dream?

Two stages only and yeah, you want the customer to have conflict over who to see when. Remember, you wanna make money -- some of my choices are not my favorite bands/artists. Still, I want to bring in as many different types of people as I can. The idea is to bring out the new, with the always solid, with the "out of nowhere" bands and artists.

MAIN STAGE 1

8 am -9 am: Tracy Chapman

9:30 am - 11 am: Mos Def

11:30 - 1 pm: Modest Mouse

1:30 - 3 pm: Soundgarden

3:30 pm - 5:30 pm: Steve Winwood and Eric Clapton duo

6 pm - 8 pm: The White Stripes

8:30 pm - 10:30 pm: Pearl Jam

11 pm - 1 am: Dr. Dre, Snoop Dog, Ice Cube, and Ren

1:30 am - 3:30 - Tool

3:30 til - Sasha and Digweed

SIDESTAGE

9 am - 10 am: Gary Newman

10:30 - 11:45: Neutral Milk Hotel

12:15 - 1:30: Living Colour

2 - 4 pm: The Cult

4:45 pm - 7 pm: Rancid

7:30 pm - 9:30 pm: Faith No More

10 pm - 12 am: A Tribe Called Quest

12:30 - 2 am: Anthrax

2:30 am - 3:30 am: MGMT

4 am til...: Dinosaur Junior

Location of the Festival would be somewhere near Olympia, WA...out in a big big field.

The price of your ticket would be about $2000. way too many huge acts. i mean, great show, but if Modest Mouse is playing before noon and then followed by Soundgarden... well, you have headliners playing the slots reserved for small bands.

I mean, I'd pay for that lineup, but it might be too loaded for a festival to afford. I mean, NMH is playing FFF but they've been selling rooms for $50 a pop right now. And they are playing at 10:30 on a sidestage? They are more of afternoon slot band because of demand.

frick that. This is the worst thing about festivals. You really think festivals like Lock'n don't make money.

20 Bands in one day? If you book bands anytime before 11 am there will be literally no one there. You have some good bands listed but your festival structure makes no sense

I only need 5 bands (1 stage), brah.

Leading off:

Motley Crue - 12:00 to 2:00

Middle guys:

Tool - 2:00 to 4:00

Styx (current lineup, obviously) - 4:00 to 6:00

Soundgarden - 6:00 to 8:00

Headliner:

Def Leppard (FTMFW) - 8:00 to 10:00

(ETA: ANYONE who balks at paying $50 to see any 3 of those 5 - I don't want their money)
