why not, LSU and USL were both dirt cheap at the time, and my curriculum at LSU(CivE,) was pretty rigid as far as electives, I wanted to take some classes that interested me

They could call themselves Harvard, but that won't make them any smarter. The bottom line is that UL is constantly trying to reinvent themselves into something grander and as a result, they have no real tradition to speak of. Are they the bulldogs, the cajuns, the rajin cajuns, the hot peppers? Are they SLI, USL, ULL, UL or just Louisiana? It doesn't matter. Respect only comes with time and tradition and they will have neither if they keep changing their brand every couple years. They just don't get it and, for some stupid reason, it irritates LSU fans. I think at this point they know they'll always be second fiddle at best so they just do it to piss off LSU and that seems to be enough for them.

They don't understand going for the learning at ULL. I'm an Engineering student at LSU. I get a kick out of it when people from ULL try to tell me they have a better Engineering school than LSU.
