which do you use and why? I've been practicing on the range with the Overlap and starting to get good results. I've been using the Interlock forever. Has anyone switched or have you always used one over the other

Everyone starting and teaching should use overlap. Interlock is the thing of the past. Overlap helps with so many more things including arthritis in the future.

I used interlock for 15 years and switched 3 years ago.

Interlock makes me choke the club to death, so I overlap.

Funny story for all you who never took lessons. I started overlapping with top hand (left) overlapping the bottom hand (right). It took halfway through the second lesson for the instructor to catch it. Went something like... "Wait a minute. WTF?! You're hands are backwards? Never in 20 years???"

When my lesson was over I got in my car and he was hitting shots with hands backwards and laughing.

Interlock, overlap feels odd and I don't see any benefit to going through a grip change for nothing

Overlap allows more club head speed because it's easier to release the club. It also attracts a better flighted ball for most v

I'm gonna need proof of this, any book I've ever read or golf pro I've ever asked says they pretty much are the same

Pretty much the same doesn't mean same. More fingers on the on the club help with wrist action.

Overlapped for years and switched to interlock 2 years ago. I don't see an advantage for either.

To the "overlap generates more club head speed" comment, I'm gonna go ahead and call bullshite on that one. Gonna need to see some data for that.
