Cayenne pepper stopped the bleeding.

Burned bad.

Never would have guessed.

Edit: I told y'all it was just the tip. Cayenne pepper works when in a bind to stop bleeding.

Lessons learned:

1. Don't play with knives when more than half drunk and flirting with your wife in the kitchen.

2. Restock, and alaways keep a complete first aid kit.

Cayenne pepper may go in my med kit now.

Did you get stitches or went old school.

The only thing worse than the pain is feeling like a dumbass for doing something so damned stupid.

I think we've all been there once or twice.

Flour would have probably done the same without the pain. Either way hope all goes well.

ETA: I stand corrected after reading more on cayenne. Flour would have made it worse even though my first instinct would have been first aid kit for the included coagulant then hospital.

When I click on a thread that says I cut my finger off, I want to see a decapitated digit.

Never put your hands where you wouldn't put your dick.

Wife took the tips of 3 off in 07. Knot in the end if her lead rope. Used tips as a bandage till surgery. Transplanted finger nail beds to her nubs. 2 took.
