Payton seems to have a program in place for guys like this. I can only imagine the sales pitch:
"Hey- you ever hear of Marques Colston? Jimmy Graham? Yeah? Well, you have more major college experience than either coming out of college. Look what I did for them. But hey, if you think someone else can develop you better, go ahead..."

Colston and Graham were good right away.
Tell me one receiver that has come to the Saints and has developed or gotten demonstrably better since arriving here?
Lance Moore?
Graham developed, but we could all see the talent right away.
We'll see if Coleman will be a good one right away.
