This is a very simple dish.
Use red potatoes. Peel and cut into 2 inch pieces. Boil in lightly salted water until fork tender.
In a sauté pan, make a béchamel (blond) sauce with butter, flour and milk. I like mine well seasoned with black pepper. Cover potatoes with white sauce and serve.
The mild flavor of the boiled potatoes and the thickness of the white sauce go well together.

Either TJ Ribs, Sammy's or Mason's grill. Waiting on the answer.

Cool, so like a white gravy you would serve over biscuits?

White Gravy
Here is how Mario Batali would do one.

I don't use nutmeg but it would be fine.
White biscuit gravy would be good too, depending on how you make it. IMO simple is better for this dish.

Boiled Crawfish, Crabs and Shrimp with all the fixins

My husband is boiling crawfish with the usual suspects of corn, potatoes and onions. My son's girlfriend is bringing dessert. This meal pleases me very much.

Have a lovely Mom's Day, Darla!
We are going to a limited seating meal prepared by a restaurant and being held at an old large farm home. Looking forward to it.

Thanks, Gris!
Your plans sound great. I am intrigued by the thought of an old farm home meal prepared by a restaurant. Please report back!
(2nd edit. I keep hitting submit before ready!)
