Blues Final Mock 2014

Right in the middle of transition to another land but gotta check in. Hey, only 3 mocks this year
#27
I don't normally do trades for mocks but this year I'm going out on a limb to predict it will happen. I think it strongly cuz at #22-25 (Phi, KC, Cinc, SD) all look like they could take either a WR or CB. At #21 if Mosley is already gone I think Green Bay will gladly trade down. Saints trade #27 + #91 to GB for #21 + #236. Now who it is harder. The pool I think it will be from is WRs Lee or Cooks or CBs Fuller, Dennard, or Roby. I'm going back to my first mock-
KYLE FULLER CB VIRGINIA TECH @ #21
#58
MARCUS MARTIN C USC
There is a fair share of hope in that he would be an excellent value here plus be a perfect fit. He can plug right in and make the middle of the O line a dominant force for the pounding run game of Robinson & Ingram. Then if needed to cut Grubbs or Evans in the future, he could slide right over. With a strong chance he is gone my 58B would be Davante Adams, Van Noy, or Latimer
#91 traded
no trade and standing pat I'd go LB Telvin Smith, Jaylen Watkins CB Florida or another Center if no CB/C in the first two rounds.
#126
DEVONTA FREEMAN RB FLORIDA ST.
I mocked him before but moving him up a round. Simply Sproles 2.0
#167
AARON COLVIN CB OKLAHOMA
Investment pick. With a torn ACL post season there won't be a push for him timewise. But you could have a guy that might have vied for 1st or 2nd Rd otherwise.
#169
MAX BULLOUGH LB MICHIGAN ST.
Another rerun pick for me. Thumper who might eventually press Hawthorne or Lofton. Some other 167 or 169 range guys: Herron WR, Huff WR, Archer RB, Murray QB
#202
CARLOS FIELDS LB WINSTON-SALEM
Ya know the Saints will flex their small school scouting muscle sometime.
#236 (acquired in trade)
RYAN GRANT WR TULANE
I'll catch grief for no WR earlier but I just didn't see the value fit at the picks. Green Wave crowd packs preseason games ( ) to watch Griffin & Grant hook up.
Thanks for watching

3 picks for 2 cb's... meh. I don't hate the fuller pick if he fell to 27 but then you gave up a 3rd and then drafted another in 5th. No guards...

I miss coming to ST and counting how many threads you have

All true!
I like the Colvin, Bullough and Grant pick. I think there is a real chance of picking Grant because he was coached by Curtis Johnson, knows good technique and knows the system.
