Shane Youman. Dammit.
Nice list here with many great memories. Another fun conversation could be the greatest moment any LSU pitcher had. My list would have to include Chad Jones in 2009.

Mestepay - probably a top 3 pitcher in lsu history his 1st and 2nd years. Shame the overuse and arm injury killed his career
LM was so fun to watch his first 2 years before the injury. He threw strikes. Before the batters knew what was going on, they were down 0-2. He averaged less than 1 BB per 9 innings his first 2 years I think. He gave up hits, mainly singles, but he spread them out and rarely walked anybody. I was in Columbia for the series his freshman year and watched him beat USC. He was a stud.

For sure. One game that really sticks out to me was a bama game his sophomore year, their stud against ours. Beat them 3-0 in like 2 hours of gametime. He didnt mess around. Bama kid was Leblanc...maybe

Sirotka threw 145 innings in 1993

Big Ben threw 152 1/3 in 1989. Mestepey threw about 280 the first two years of his career.

In the 93 CWS, Sirotka won LSU's first game against the Dirtbags. Laxton got hit hard by A&M, but Scott Schultz and Todd Walker saved the day. In the first semi-final game, Sirotka came out of the pen to close the game, but LBSU won it late. Sirotka started the next day and I think he threw all 9.

Sirotka was a stud at LSU. He had a solid MLB career as well.

Yeah, he just played for a bad organization

Coleman and Laxton come to mind.
We have had lots of great pitchers. I remember the clutch pitchers.

You're thinking about the Arkansas weekend. Mestepey won 3-0 on Friday in less than 2 hours. And Brian Wilson shut them out the next day.
