Also, they are really skeptical of this LSU team.

With good reason...
When I called to make my reservations at a steakhouse, the guy said they're anticipating twice the crowd and party atmosphere of a regular Packers game.

Friday Night in Green Bay

For those staying in Green Bay Friday night before the game, is there a designated LSU scene someplace?

Half-arse searched and didn't see anything already posted. Thanks.

Hopefully the Astros can make a run now with Bregman and Gurriel!

Dude, I love the Astros, but even I'm glad the olympics have been on the last couple of weeks. Shite turned into a dumpster fire pretty quick there.

That said, a confidence boosting finish for Bregs and the rest of the young guys they've called up (can't remember the last time this many rookies have played this much on one team at one time) would be a great harbinger for next year.
56%

Next closest is 17%. No one else has hit 5%.

Rant.

Bama isn't going to take that big of a risk on a hire. They will get someone who has already been a head coach before.

Saban taking over Bama baseball.

Anyways, everyone has a different running style, foot striking pattern, body habitus, weight, etc. If you haven't found one you like don't be afraid to try something new.

Lots of wisdom from Temple here. You have to consider lots of variables, not the least of which are your weekly mileage and running form.

I supinate (or anti-pronate) and run about 20-25 miles a week with long runs of 10-16 miles on average. The Asics Gel Cumulus is usually a good bet for me but...

Be careful with brand loyalty. It's a popular, sneaky trick among shoe companies that their models do not stay the same from year to year and sometimes vary greatly. It's a ploy to get you to buy several pairs of the same shoe because you know that model will change next year.

That's also why some of the advice on here to try a pair on in the store and then go buy last year's model online for cheap is misguided.

Not sure where you live, but here in Houston (and many places, I assume) show stores will sponsor "Brews and Shoes" events where a brand rep will provide a bunch of models for you to try out on a run (the one I go to has a three mile loop nearby). I like to try a pair and wait a day to see how I feel before buying.
Matisyahu's live stuff is pretty good. High energy, thoughtful lyrics, plus how often do you hear a Hassidic Jew flow like that? (not sure if that's appropriate, but I'm sticking to it)

Any pre-1974 Grateful Dead show is a go to for me as well, though I'm not sure that qualifies as "unexpected."

Didn't work either. I did manage to pee in my oleanders, however.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding, but the impression I got was that individual game tickets wouldn't be a possibility for schmucks like me. At least not on the primary market.
So... I'm a non-TAF donating, non-season ticket holding, semi-drunk alum with a hotel room in Green Bay reserved, a flight booked, and no tickets. What should I do to secure a pair at this point?

Prob Chicago. Going by myself. All my friends are pussies.

Either you're awesome or need new friends (or both).

Just booked the trip last night. Nonstops to and from Chicago from Houston. $350. Rental car was dirt cheap ($25).

Please advise on tickets though.
Strikeouts are boring, and besides that they're fascist

Me and O'Neal went looking for
One-eyed Willie's lost treasure once. What a crazy adventure that turned out to be.

Second page, huh? Surprised you clicked this one Copernicus.

Allow me to hazard an attempt at a paraphrase:
"I don't understand how the discovery of any waves like these invisible and therefore pretend gravitational ones is at all useful to things like radiation therapy for cancer patients. Since I don't understand it, it's impossible and stupid anyway."

Just start preparing your mind for a string of 4 NCs and you'll be fine.

I'm pretty sure he'll cure Alzheimer's and write 2 Pulitzer Prize winning scripts while at LSU as well.

The important part is that there is no pressure when you sign with LSU like there would have been at Harvard.

I wouldn't fault him for that move. It was a trade off. Hornsby couldn't stay with Murray or Ulis and those were the only 2 guys that were going to beat us. He brought in Blakeney and Patterson's length to slow them down.

This. OP is right. JJ played his match-ups beautifully last night. But something else occurred to me when I had the same wondering about sitting Hornsby late: UK plays high energy with a lot of depth and just flat wears opponents out. JJ seemed to be cognizant of this with his rotations from the start. Granted, he was kind of forced to with Simmons, but JJ managed the match ups and breathers really effectively.
