I think its pretty obvious that is what happened...

He was eluding to that was what he was going to say, but didn't... But hell, I don't even hear close to it in the clip.

And again, the article insinuates that BBC covered up the audio... Have they never seen how low quality the production is?

I was wondering why he tweeted this.

quote:

I did not use the n word. Never use it. The Mirror has gone way too far this time.

The Mirror has had it out for him for a while.

That doesn't add up either... If he did indeed use the word outright, I don't think he would 100% deny it.

because he deliberately made a mumbling/slurring sound over that part of the ditty *FOR EFFECT* just like the 'there's a slope on it' comment and the 'al gore says we will fall through the water before we reach the north pole'.

its edgy comedy PRECISELY because people are so freaked out over the N word and the anticipation when the ditty starts as to where he's going to take it.

its funny..too bad nobody has a sense of humor anymore.

Update: He admits its that it happened and it was as I suspected, him changing everything to an "n" put him down the wrong path... I thought they were reporting this happened during current filming, but this happened years ago

quote:

Clarkson said that in filming the section a couple of years ago, he was very keen to avoid using the offensive term in a version of the nursery rhyme and mumbled it on two takes before replacing it with the word "teacher" on a third.

"When I viewed this footage several weeks later, I realized that in one of the versions, if I listened very carefully with the sound turned right up, that I had actually used the word I was trying to obscure," he said.

"I was mortified by this, horrified. It's a word I loathe, and I did everything in my power to make sure that that version did not appear in the program."

This included contacting the production office to ensure that another take was used in the show, he said.

Clarkson initially denied the report by the Mirror, tweeting, "I did not use the n word. Never use it. The Mirror has gone way too far this time."

But after the newspaper posted the footage in question online and amid calls from some quarters for his resignation, the presenter was forced to backtrack. He posted his video message less than 12 hours after his initial denial.

Whats funny is the news whom reported it, and apparently has had issues with Clarkson for a while, has a poll up on their site whether he should be fired. Its 80% no, 20% yes

WTF is this crap.... LINK

quote:

Davies said: "We are to write to every ambassador and the US president next week asking them to consider the evidence and them once to decide if this racist show should be broadcast in their country in future."

Apparently they had no problem when they killed the black stig and replaced him with the white stig. However something that sounded like the word and never aired is appalling. Words hurt amirite gang?

Jeremy Clarkson given final warning by the BBC

quote:

He said: "I've been told by the BBC that if I make one more offensive remark, anywhere, at any time, I will be sacked. "And even the angel Gabriel would struggle to survive with that hanging over his head. It's inevitable that one day, someone, somewhere will say that I've offended them, and that will be that."

Over/Under on # of new seasons of Top Gear with Clarkson? I'll say 3 seasons at most.

As soon as he is gone, the show is done... I don't think May and Hammond would continue on without him as it would completely frick up the dynamic that they have.

Would not watch the show without him. I love Hammond and May but Clarkson really is 90% of the show's comedy and creativity. His presentation videos for different cars are always the best and my favorites.
