Toups' Meatery - Brief Review with Pics

I stopped into Toups Meatery today as I was in the area. I was solo for lunch so I sat at the bar. They were not very busy at all so I was greeted promptly. I ordered a water to drink and took my time going over the menu.
The bartender (who was also waiting on a few other tables in the place) came over and took my order. I ordered the boudin balls as an appetizer which were quite good. They came out quick and were fried perfectly. The coloring inside was somewhat different than I've seen as it was almost red and they had a smoky/salty taste - almost like they were made with cracklin.
I also ordered the Toups Burger. It's described on the menu as a pork & beef patty with pickled squash, bacon, cheddar, and herbed aioli. I also ordered the curried cauliflower as a side (very glad I did).
All in all, the meal was very good. The burger - at times - was a little too salty, probably due to the beef/pork mixture and bacon, but the overall flavor was fantastic. It was cooked perfectly to my liking - medium well. I'd definitely go back again if I were in the area. Here are a few pics:
And my leftovers that I get to enjoy again:

I wish they just had a strait up beef burger with that lunch deal. Not a fan of Toups burger but I'd eat it again. Love the place though.

Looks solid. Love the bun and the fact that it's cooked properly. Would blitzkrieg.

Don't miss the Charcuterie board next time.
Best thing on the menu by a mile.

I love Toups' more than certain relatives of mine. That meat board.

I wasn't impressed on my visit there. The much-hyped deviled eggs had way too much horseradish for my taste, and everything else was pretty mediocre.
