Joining all the kayakers, what does the OB think of this kayak?

I will be mostly using this for exercise, and fishing on Lake Allatoona in Ga, and trips down the toccoa for some fly-fishing. It got pretty good reviews. I don't know much about kayaks, but seeing as how I live on the lake (sort of, more like I have easy access)I figured this would be an opportune time to do some paddling and fishing. So I pulled the trigger, should arrive Thursday at my door.

Any recs on after market stuff I should rig it with?

I also have a Chevy Silverado, and the bed with the tailgate down is roughly 7'. Any good recs on a way to transport this 12' kayak, or you think that 7' is sufficient with some tie downs?

Got the same kayak last week at academy. I recommend it, especially for the price. Mine was only $500 at academy, but they only had red or olive, and it didn't include an anchor kit. You'll be fine strapping it down.
