Top Ten List of America 's Stupidity.
10) Only in America ... could politicians talk about the greed of the rich at a $35,000.00 a plate campaign fund-raising event.
9) Only in America ... could people claim that the Government still discriminates against black Americans when they have a black President, a black Attorney General and roughly 20% of the federal workforce is black while only 14% of the population is black. 40+% of all federal entitlements goes to black Americans – 3X the rate that go to whites, 5X the rate that go to Hispanics!
8) Only in America .. could they have had the two people most responsible for our tax code, Democrat Timothy Geithner (the head of the Treasury Department) and Democrat Charles Rangel (who once ran the Ways and Means Committee), BOTH turn out to be BIG tax cheats who are in favor of higher taxes.
7) Only in America ... can they have terrorists kill people in the name of Allah and have the media primarily react by fretting that Muslims might be harmed by the backlash.
6) Only in America ... would they make people who want to legally become American citizens wait for years in their home countries and pay tens of thousands of dollars for the privilege, while they discuss letting anyone who sneaks into the country illegally just 'magically' become American citizens.
5) Only in America ... could the people who believe in balancing the budget and sticking by the country's Constitution be thought of as "extremists."
4) Only in America ... could you need to present a driver's license to cash a check or buy alcohol, but NOT to vote.
3) Only in America ... could people demand the government investigate whether oil companies are gouging the public because the price of gas went up when the return on equity invested in a major U.S. oil company (Marathon Oil) is less than half of a company making tennis shoes (Nike).
2) Only in America ... could the government collect more tax dollars from the people than any nation in recorded history, still spend a Trillion
dollars more than it has per year - for total spending of $7-Million PER MINUTE, and complain that it doesn't have nearly enough money.
1) Only in America ... could the rich people - who pay 86% of all income taxes – be accused of not paying their "fair share" by people who don't pay any income taxes at all.

First off. Wow.
The media does not do this in the immediate aftermath of an attack. In the long run, Muslim Americans (Yes, they do exist) do face more discrimination because of the extremists' actions.
How does this harm you in any way?

Yes the media does. Seems like that your concern would be the backlash these poor people may feel more than those that are attacked.

Harm? Who said it harms. But there is a good reason to have male and female restrooms, no?

The media focuses on the attack itself and the victims. That's what everyone's focus is after something happens. The discussion of the backlash doesn't come until after everything dies down.

If it doesn't harm anyone, then why bother caring so much about it. Yeah I think its a good idea for separate bathrooms because people want their privacy, but a handful of isolated cases where a student wishes to use another bathroom for whatever reason is not that big a deal imo. Its definitely not on par with the spending and tax points he made obviously lol

5. there's not a single member of congress, including that 'conservative' republican you voted for, that wants a balanced budget ...
2. that trillion dollars in debt includes the wars in afghan and iraq, along with military spending that provides jobs for thousands of engineers ... so you're against all that waste? ...
'preciate the outrage, tho ...

Does it hurt the girls to have boys next to them in the bathroom?
War or girls...

I never advocated for co-ed bathrooms everywhere. The OP is likely referencing a handful of cases where a transgender student wished to use a different bathroom. It's not like this is some epidemic. People like the OP bring it up to incite emotion regarding how far America has fallen lol

If I was a boy growing up and say I need to use the girls bathroom to get a peak at the girls, I would have done it. It will happen everywhere with such a policy...

The only "policy" in the country is a new law in California where transgender students can choose which restroom they prefer to use. Again, this isn't involving a large number of people. It's an extremely small percentage. And if anything inappropriate happens in the bathroom, it can be dealt with. Same as if two girls fooled around or two guys.

Oh look, more people obsessing over who uses the bathroom with them.
I swear some of you must be miserable to worry about shite like that. Have fun fretting over all the psychological damage your seven year old daughter will suffer because timmy is using a stall next to her.

First of all, that makes you the weird one.
Second, womens bathrooms are all stalls and the boys using them wouldnt be interested in them anyway.
Im not saying Im super excited about it or anything, its just illogical to worry about it.

I can give a shite who pisses next to me but I'm not willfully subjecting my daughter to that premature level of uncomfortableness simply because some kid's parents can't come to terms with the fact that their kid is mentally unstable.

So go ahead and worry about it like all the others who do, no one is stopping you

Why not say this about the transgender kids' psychological well being and not make a ridiculous new policy? Seems easier.

My kids are going to go to private school so it, most likely, wouldn't be an issue.

Sure does, which is why its currently the case most places and will almost certainly remain so just about everywhere.
My point is, even IF this ever became the norm, I just wouldnt lose sleep over it. No rational adult should care at all, and kids are subjected to far more horrifying things in TV, movies, video games and the actions of their peers daily.

Yeah, safe bet it wont be

Oh I don't care, just seems a little over the top to me. I'm in Texas, so my kids are probably safe.
