You think we need to finish 13-2 for a natty seed or is that just your prediction?
Posted on 4/25/14 at 10:30 am to Honkus
Just my prediction (although we would probably need to at least go 12-3). If we go 8-4 i think we'd probably need to make it to the SEC championship game because i dont think 8-4 wins the conference or the west.

Im just happy cause it takes about 3 hrs to get from Beaumont to BR and leaving at noon means I beat BR traffic.

Nah, I think 8-4 or 9-3 for the remaining SEC series will get it done
Not because we technically deserve it, but because 2 SEC teams will likely receive a national seed

If they go 8-4 one of them wont be us. At least not going into the SEC tourney. They win the tourney thats a different story.

You don't think winning 2/3 for the remaining of the season gets us at worst second in the conference?
Posted on 4/25/14 at 10:36 am to bbap
Probably have to do better than 8-4. That would open the door for Bama or Ole Miss to grab the 2nd national seed.

It's possible but i doubt it

You make better time than I do then. It takes me four to get to Beaumont.

8-4 would win us the west imo
bama will not do better than 8-4 with their remaining schedule

this is the first year in a while I haven't made it to BR for at least one game. weddings and parties and holidays, it seems like I have something every weekend. I wanted to try to come tonight, but that didn't work out either.

Im actually south of Beaumont so I take some back roads and can get out of Texas in 30 minutes. 30 minutes to Lake Charles from the border and then 2 hrs from there to BR.

I agree
I think we win 2/3 twice, sweep once, and win 1/3 once
Auburn seems to always ruin things

NATIONAL SEEDS
SECURE TEAMS: Florida, Florida State, Virginia
ON THE BUBBLE (IN): Cal Poly, Louisiana-Lafayette, South Carolina, Texas, Oregon State
ON THE BUBBLE (OUT): Houston, Alabama, Indiana, Mississippi, Kentucky, Rice, Louisiana State
Changes from our midseason Field of 64 projection two weeks ago: Florida replaces Vanderbilt as a national seed.
Heres what tPOS thinks as of Wednesday.

State has the same schedule as we do and are in a virtual lock (9 outs away). You're only looking up in the standings, not below.

Don't bank on that. You'll be stopped around Lobdell or so I'm sure.

If we go 8-4 in conference rest of the way it will win us the West and possibly the SEC IMO. Too me that alone would be enough to lock up a natty seed.
When was last time SEC regular season champ was not national seed?
