You're kind of an angry guy when it comes to this stuff. In fact I'd say there's a lack of "reason". Perhaps I can lend a hand. But yes, I think the conservatives on this board grossly overstate the bias of the so called "mainstream media". Not saying it doesn't exist to some degree, but it's not all encompassing and certainly doesn't control our political outcomes as some people suggest.

Ed Schultz gets 300K from unions while sitting at his desk for MSNBC and you believe that he is not biased in his reporting, Christy Matthews has tingly legs to stand on but again no bias is seen by you. The list of biased reporting goes on or a long measure. The only show on MSNBC that has a conservative voice on it at all is Morning Joe which has a RINO at the desk with Mia for the liberal voice on the set. That is all they have for the entire broadcast day. We need to throw in the Reverend Al for the liberal racist slant of the day while we are at it.

Kind of an indefensible position. Not that you made this argument... but people believe that corporate-funded political advertising distorts elections to the point of destroying our democracy... But biased "news" reporting, and advocacy positions by media has almost no effect...

It's so important to read Bernays. Because once you do, you know that mass manipulation is not only possible, it's not even difficult.

And once you learn his techniques, you start to see them EVERYWHERE. First you see it in advertising. And now we're seeing them overtly being used in news "reporting".
