Thanks man. All I've been wanting to drink lately. NBD is a Grand Reserve from Ham I've been saving for today.

Switched over to imgur. Today marks the day I abandon photobucket.
Apologize in advance, I wanted to share my dinner. I hope this qualifies me for adult status
First plates, she ordered a soup that was a chilled almond milk and garlic reduction with frozen grape puree. She liked it until I tasted it and said it tasted exactly like ranch dressing.
Mine was a blend of roasted red pepper puree, eggplant puree, and caramelized onions also pureed with anchovies. Spread it over bread chips. Pretty tasty; really briny.
Meat tray. Outer two were a pork tenderloin and chorizo. Absolute home runs.
Calamari on a baguette. Best thing we had. Perfectly breaded and fried with a pronounced lemon tartness complimented by the house made aoli. Really nice.
Roasted red peppers stuffed with goat cheese. I'm not a huge goat cheese fan, but she loved it and even I could admit it wasn't bad.
Shrimp with sliced roasted garlic. Was supposedly the best plate on the menu, but it was overcooked and the shrimp were rubbery. I sliced up the pepper you can't see in the bowl and ate it with my shrimp. Absolutely lit me up. Hot as hell, and I love spice.
Fried eggplant drizzled with local mountain honey and two scoops of house made rosemary ice cream. You were supposed to top the eggplant with the ice cream, but I found it had too pronounced rosemary flavors that drowned out the savory/sweet contrasting flavors. Otherwise really tasty.
For dessert, apricot sorbet with a yogurt mousse sprinkled with roasted pine nuts and drizzled with pine oil. The nuts provided a nice contrasting texture to the creaminess of the mousse and sorbet. Not bad.
Now a couple brews at Innovation Brewing
Rye Session IPA
Cave Dweller (sour)
Curate was pretty solid, all things considered. The lady and I talked, however, and agreed that if we said Peche was a 5 star on our scale Curate would be about a 3. I dunno how it would do in NOLA.
