I just know some landowners are bringing in around $30,000 a month in lincoln parish

Those must be some gang buster gas wells. For awhile I was crossing fingers to be in that situation with the TMS play but that now dead.

No joke. There are quite a few people in Lincoln that are not eating scraps for dinner.
The bulk of the action starts in arcadia at 151 and runs East through Simsboro.
Now they have 2 rigs running in Choudrant, so we will see if it pops off there.

Memorial/Wildhorse are drinking deep LCVHorizontals in the old Terryville area and branching out, they're some of the best wells I've ever seen in North La, coming on at 30-40 million a day with 400bbls of liquids

Damn thats a good little balance, whats the TDs and decline rates on these well?
Posted on 4/10/15 at 3:09 pm to GREENHEAD22
TD of 18-20k Really haven't seen many decline curves as all are recently completed with a bunch waiting for completion, I know they are balls to the wall on their drilling program, ETC and PennTex are dropping about 500 million on plants to strip out the liquids.

They have a HUGE, long term hedge position at fantastic prices - like 75% of their production through 2018. Their hedge book alone is worth probably close to $750 million today.

SOB, some bank or firm is getting raked over the coals. I have never heard of hedging contracts that long.

Probably some dumbass Asian utility on the hook for a 20 year LNG deal indexed to Henry Hub

If anyone's interested in Memorial make sure you are buying MRD, not MEMP. The LP doesn't have an ownership stake in the Terryville complex, at least not yet. They'll probably drop it in at some point if they are following an MLP/GP model.

But whoever buys Sperry's MWD/DD division will have a giant on there hands. They have a pretty big market share, especially here in the gulf.
Not at all

Sperry mud logging is doing well in the Gulf, but MWD/DD have been slow for quite awhile.
^ This.
ETA: They are not selling the mud logging division.

you must not have looked much, Linn Energy hedges out all production they acquire for 5 years (allegedly).... most of the upstream MLPs have very long hedges in place

The Exxon/Anadarko rumor has been circulating for years. Exxon CEO Rex Tillerson has two years left to improve upon his less than stellar legacy. He gambled on Russia and that has been a failure to date. The XTO acquisition was tarnished when natural gas prices plummeted with no significant rebound in sight. Some experts speculate he will try to make a splash in the wake of the Shell/BG mega deal. Anadarko would make sense but it woukd come at a premium price. Anadarko boasts a nice diverse portfolio including significant assets located in Gulf of Mexico, Mozambique, etc. Apache has also been mentioned along with EOG who lacks offshore and international production. Anadarko CEO Al Walker has a track record of building and selling so anything is possible.

Any truth to Exxon BP merger?

I hear ConocoPhillips onshore properties are for sale

I have worked pretty closely with COPC over the years and I wouldn't expect them to divest any of their core assets. They have been actively trying to farmout some of their older producing properties. They are definitely not interested in selling their LL&E mineral fee position in South Louisiana (Terrebonne Bay) because I know a couple of groups that have inquired about it over the last few years.
