My favorite Xmen story arc. Please don't butcher this. I'm thinking a whole new cast would be needed (except Magneto) the characters are so different from the normal Xmen.

You know its just going to be about Wolverine and his unimportant buddies.

Character design and costuming seems to be off in DOFP, particularly Bishop and the look of the Sentinels.
Bishop was looking about right to me until I saw that clip the other day where it seemed he had a tube going from his arm to his gun to power it. I don't remember anything like that from the comics, but I haven't read em in like 20 yrs.
don't think I've seen the first sentinels in action yet. wondering what the future ones can do.

Unfortunately so, Wolverine will probably be the leader instead of Magneto. Despite being one of my favorite Xmen, Wolverines over exposure is slowly killing him. I actually think the guy that played Khal Drogo would make a good Wolverine. Grunts a few gruff remarks from the background and then jumps into the fight. I'd like a full CGI Apocalypse with James Earl Jones doing the voice, just seems like this would be impossible to have an actor play the part.

That's actually right out of the comics, minus the tube.
Bishop absorbs energy attacks and releases the energy through his hands or channels it into his plasma cannon.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, director Bryan Singer stated that X-Men: Apocalypse, the 2016 sequel to X-Men: Days of Future Past, would draw influence from the 1990 storyline Age of Apocalypse, but not necessarily create an alternate universe.
So they're going to go with changing the past from the present future, then go with changing the future from the present past.
WTF?
It just gets worse and worse and worse.

That is actually a pretty big deal to me. Just another way to dumb down characters.

I agree, but if Singer cared about the characters he would have Cyclopes running shite and Kitty Pryde handling the time-travel duties.

It's just a visual way of showing non comic readers that his weapon is powered by his body.

But he doesn't power his weapons by using his body!
Whats so hard to understand that part of his powers are the ability to observe energy and project it.

Actually he does. He channels the energy he absorbs into his Plasma Rifle

I've never seen him do that. I've always seen him shoot projectiles from the energy he's absorbed. I also knows he carries big guns of course, but i've never seen him transfer the energy into his gun.

Until they bring cyclops back I refuse to give a shite about this franchise
Posted on 4/15/14 at 12:01 pm to Green Chili Tiger
I just hope they have the character differences from Age of Apocalypse.
One handed Wolverine:
One eyed Cyclopes:
Dark Beast:
X-Man:
And please oh please can we get Mr Sinister:
Preferably played by this guy:
