I cannot wait until this same exact thing has to happen for the Keystone Pipeline project. A right of way refusal by a stubborn farmer, or a needed compressor station on private land owned for generations. I'm willing to bet the response from these "patriots" then will be crickets

Well, this is apples and oranges really. The property owner would require compensation/lease paid by the PRIVATE (TransCanada) company that owns the KEYSTONE PIPELINE.

If the dealings with the pipeline is kept private concerning the land owners and the money is right then I see less chance of what you say happening. If the government tries to start interjecting their typical bs into the negotiations, then trouble ahead.

Holy terrible deflection, Batman.

Private companies cannot operate this way, dude. They won't be allowed to. They will have to pay a fair share. Those of us in the %53 percent have a much different/better understanding of what "fair share" really means.
