this whole thing is because this family won't sell the water rights and other state given rights they have over the now claimed federal land.
feds want it, they won't sell....fedgov now is going to show these peons who rules.

Never know when you'll need to assist in running some ranchers off their land

I think they should have taken him into custody while he was alone, in town, days earlier when they were watching him. Instead of bringing in media for a "gun raid", then gassing some children to death, while burning the remaining children to death.

Everywhere you look you can see how the police state is growing.
When I was a kid, Corps of Engineers Rangers made rounds in their white Dodge pick ups around camp grounds and were nice as can be and stopped all along to chat. They certainly were not armed. If they were, they certainly didn't open carry. In my experience, they would call the Sheriff's Dept if there was a law enforcement issue. The most they would do was tell a rowdy group of campers to quiet down if they were carrying on after 10 PM.
Now I guess they carry Glocks, Tazers and attack dogs.
People don't believe we could ever turn into a police state because they can't imagine that other citizens would be the foot soldiers in a US police state.
There are plenty of them.

Im not going to debate that scene with you. It has nothing to do with this situation.

The only statement I made, is that it's going to be Obama and Holders Waco, meaning overzealous federal agents and overzealous gov't, is escalating the situation to where much bad can come.
And you probably don't wanna debate Waco, as there are plenty of studies showing many of those children died from CS gas, as well as other chemicals deriving from CS gas exposure. Many had broken backs from severe muscle spasms even to the point of it breaking their backs, from the hydrogen cyanide produced from their gassing of the Davidians.

Lost in the larger issues is that it has cost $1200 of taxpayer money per head of cattle to round them up.

Yep, they had plenty of chances to do this.

Snipers, choppers and 200 men for manpower is costly.

Ya gotta do something with all of those cool toys they have.
Can't use armored vehicles to snag a guy out for a jog.

Oh, BTW, the $1200/head is just what the contractor THAT ROUNDED THEM UP was paid. It does not even include the tax payer money spent on Agents on scene.

Well, I guess killing the children is one way to stop them from being abused.

Were the abuse allegations ever proven in court or were people executed over allegations? The local sheriff was in the process of negotiating a peaceful surrender when the feds stepped in and everything went to shite. Odd that the sniper doing the shooting was the same one that was at Ruby Ridge killing innocent victims. Good thing for these folks he's retired.

Well the Feds eventually had to use some of the billions of rounds of hollow points, right?
