That's the answer...No where is safe. Everyone is at risk of getting robbed or shot or raped ANYWHERE in the world. New Orleans, Denver, Bozeman Montana, Salina Kansas, Jamaica, Brazil, etc....Crime knows no bounds.
However, if you are aware of your surroundings, know when you feel comfortable or not, and take precautions to be safe, you tend to avoid trouble.

well yeah, but let's try not to pretend that some places don't have worse crime than others
