With all due respect to Mett, Jennings, or Harris, none of those had been seen as the best in the nation at their position coming out of HS.
I've seen LF's 40 time listed from 4.35 to 4.5. Which is dang fast for a at 225 lbs. He also has a bench of 300 and a squat of 600.
No one knows how the kid will do in college/SEC football, but he comes to LSU, a school known for having a few really good RBs, as the most highly rated back out of HS ever.
I don't understand the desire on the part of some "LSU fans" to down play what he might be able to add to our offense.

Yea, he's good. I'd rather have him than someone else. You do realize he's a 19 year old man playing against boys in those clips? He's no Herschel Walker or Eric Dickerson though. He's not in that category by a long shot. But as an element of LSU's offense he'll be invaluable.

One more thing I noticed in those high school clips was his stutter, some would call it patience, when approaching the hole. That ain't gonna help him in the SEC. It might result in a few big runs for him but the trade off will be negative yardage far more frequently.

.....oh, and apparently anyone who shares his opinion on here is labeled an a-hole. Now that's important to know.

So patience isn't gonna help him in the SEC yup ok!!!! Man amongst boys my arse, just another stupid arse excuse! Karr had 10 d1 signees on their defense alone and he torched their arse this year. Since you say he is not like Walker or Dickerson, who is comparable to him? Imma wait bc u don't see 225-230 lbs backs run like him!

Karr.....pishaw. Cecilia in its heyday would have stomped him. Look, my gut reaction is he's gonna be good but will not live up to the hype as the best back in LSU history. He reminds me of Harvey Williams 6'2" 220lbs.

There's a reason Trent Richardson is garbage in the NFL.. it's because he doesn't have vision like LF does.

Cecilla? Really? Hayday was in the 40's comon man! Lol! Would have run through around and over anyone of em. Not even close. Harvey and LF aren't even built the same. Harvey was 6'2 220 as a pro and LF is maybe 6'1 225-230 now.

Cannot wait for us all to find out!!

You need a little self reflection.

I have traveled most of the world...ONLY ignorant LSU fans that come here choose to fight among themselves the way you guys do...jmho...but, my 2 cents is he's going to be the best RB ever for one reason...character...from BC to KF to JH, NONE of the above mentioned had what LF has...they all had/have their weaknesses and faults...I haven't seen any in LF as of yet! Time will tell the tale though, but my money in on him!

I tend to trust Mike Detllier's opinion. When asked about his early adaptation to the college (SEC) game from High School his answer was that Fournette already has his PhD in football. This kid is going to be good, really good. I have to believe his future is unlimited, just a matter of time and maintaining his health.

I still can't believe this stupid fcking thread is still alive.

When a high school running back steps up to SEC play he ain't the shite he was before,
I remember a guy telling me this same stuff about a young LSU basketball player who I said was going to be great. Shaq turned out pretty good, too. I'm telling you, there's a difference between Fournette and other highly touted players. Fournette will definitely be a great player. He's already a Jeremy Hill level talent. Whether he ends up at AP level depends on his development.
