I know the guy fairly well and I don't think there's a rude bone in his body.
Might have been a awkward time/place for him.

Are y'all talking about the brewer there with long hair, kinda short, who created Timber Beast?
Yea, first time I met him I tried to compliment Timber Beast by saying I put it on the same level as Ruthless Rye and Hop Rod. Man, he totally twisted it and lectured me on how his beer doesn't taste like those beers at all and how he was doing something different. Geez.
I mean, I didn't say they had the exact same flavor profiles or anything. But in the not-so-broad category of hoppy rye beers, I was just trying to say that his beer was right there with them.
