That dude fricking SUCKED. What an arse.

I wish I had visited more breweries. My craft beer love has come at a time when most of my traveling has largely been relegated to trips to NC. As such, I've done a number of breweries there and not a lot elsewhere. So, my list:

LA
Abita
NOLA

AL
Railyard Brewing Co. (probably more of a brewpub)

NC
Wicked Weed
Asheville Brewing Co.
Green Man Brewing
Oskar Blues in Brevard *****
Pisgah Brewing
Frog Level Brewing Co.
Heinzelmannchen Brewery
Highland Brewing Company
Red Oak Brewery
Bull City Burger and Brewery (brewpub, but I love it)
Carolina Brewery
Fullsteam
Gizmo Brew Works
Top of the Hill (brewpub)
Triangle Brewing Company
Innovation Brewing

Next week when I'm in NC I'll for sure be heading to Hi-Wire. I brought a beer from them to the bottle share at ru's place, I remember it being interesting. My significant other said it was voted one of the best new breweries in the southeast by some publication or other, so I'm excited to try more. She generally doesn't know what she's talking about, though

ETA: She and I have talked about trying to make a trip to CA or OR this summer. I hope it happens.

Great, hit me up if you make the trip to Oregon. From Bend to My Hood, to the Oregon coast, it will be memorable. Portland is pretty cool, too. Nice winery country, too.

Hi-Wire is a fun place... the beer wasn't anything mind-blowing but it was all solid. What really stood out when we went was the atmosphere, probably the most fun, laid back, chill brewery we stopped at in Asheville, and we went to all but Highland and French Broad. Great place to enjoy the weather and drink some quality brews.
