Are episodes 5.13 & 5.14 the apex of the South Park golden age?

I've been watching South Park all day and for my money it doesn't get better then "Kenny Dies" and "Butters Very Own Episode". The last few seasons have been full of misses.
Your thoughts??

Last few seasons have had a few misses, but when they hit, they're awesome. I've followed South Park longer than any other show in my life, and I've never gotten bored with it. It's still hilarious to me, but for different reasons. When I was younger and dumb, it was funny because they cursed a lot, talked about sex, and Cartman was a scathing douchebag. Now, it's funny because they rip social/political/economic topics/figures, Randy takes everything to extremes, and Cartman is a scathing douchebag.
The GOT trilogy was hilarious to me. Casa Bonita, Awesome-O, Imaginationland Trilogy, the Lord of the Rings episodes, are some of my favorites. Then Scott Tenorman as #1.
To answer the original question though, I hope South Park doesn't go anywhere. Trey and Matt are brilliant.

I mean, the show is bound to end at some time. Trey and Matt aren't going to do this forever, at least I assume so. Could be next year, could be several more years, who knows?

Yeah you're right. Should rephrase to say I hope South Park doesn't go anywhere soon.

I honestly don't even watch anymore
The past two or three seasons have been pretty terrible
I've thought for a long time season 11 (2007) was the last truly great South Park season
But yea, seasons 4-9 are the money seasons. Every episode is hilarious. They're aren't just "hey let's cram as many references to something that happened in pop culture the last few weeks and call it an episode" they were thought out and the characters did and said funny things.
I'm sure I'll be hated on for this thought since everyone one on here jerks off on every turd sandwich episode Trey and Matt poop out these days, but I miss the good South Park.

I wouldn't say South Park has been terrible lately, but it's been pretty up and down the past several seasons. They have some really good ones with good episodes, and some fail to live up to everyone's expectations. I still watch it cuz it's better than any other crap that's on TV, but it's definitely WAY past it's prime. I understand where you're coming from though.

I quit after 4-5 episodes of this season
I really doubt they turned it around since then

Seems like this thread happens once a week. I still find the show funny, it's the same humor, the stories are just more political and about current events rather than Cartman gettin a butt probe.
