Nope. Those things are promotions. Like 'free ball day'. You have to have the kids accompanied by parents who pay full price and parking. Back in the day kids went to the games alone. No parents. Fifty cents.
$5.00 + $2.06 tax = $7.06 total.

So, a 12 year old kid can walk up to the ticket counter and buy a 5 buck ticket? Really? He can't. He has to have his parents drive him. Not so in the old days. And your point would be valid if the parents also get the 5 buck ticket PLUS they don't have to pay for parking. Is Parking at the stadium free?
