They get hefty scholarships, don't they?!?! If they insist on being called employees then the scholarships and/or any other payment they receive should be considered salary, subject to taxes, dues, etc.

I guess the kids will now start paying for their own meals and lodging on road trips. Deducts, deducts, deducts!

I agree. So is GPA now a condition of employment? Do they receive unemployment benefits if they are kicked off the team? Workers Comp for injuries? Can coaches still discipline team members for conduct off the field? How does this impact NCAA penalties for Institutional Control? How sea it impact NCAA investigations and University responses to such investigations?
