Sadly, I don't think this is a troll attempt.

When you have Aleva "negotiating" for you....you're in deep doo doo !
He's "proven" his razor sharp skills over and over, usually to the detriment of our program !

Is this really the way it went down or has this achieved so sort of urban legend status?

I'm staying in Cooperstown. Only 90 miles from Syracuse. Baseball HOF and scenery is pretty nice in the Fall. Tons of other similar resort towns up there,

I'm with you. Living out of state, I would MUCH rather go to a Syracuse away game than ULL or whatever at Tiger Stadium (if those are my choices). I think people are slightly discounting the exposure of coming up to the NE for a game. There is really nothing going on college football wise up here and LSU should get some decent press out it. Again, especially if the alternative to a home and home with 'Cuse is a home against a chump team.

Who name this big name team that wants to play lsu home and home .........
Maybe a tcu, v tech or a Arizona but that's not much different than Syracuse ......
a big name to me is Ohio st , ok , Florida st. And if you think you can get a home and home with any of them you're delusional .....

Be happy we will get Syracuse at home instead of Towson in a couple of years.......

I think it's going to end up being a good home-home agreement. I just can't get excited about seeing LSU play football in the Carrier Dome.

I guess I'm spoiled by SEC venues, Jerry's World, etc.

like Starkville, Kentucky, Vandy, and Ole Miss?

I'd rather play on someone's campus or in a city than Jerry's World out in Arlington

That must be written into the contract with a massive buy out for reneging by them.

So what does this all mean for the LSU Tulane game? I thought we were talking about playing Tulane in the Dome in 2015 since we owe them a game. But that would mean playing only 6 home games.

Does this mean we're probably gonna play in the Dome in 2017 now?

I don't think Tulane wants to play a game in the Dome with a new stadium being built

quote:

SU and Tulane were in unofficial talks about opening the 2015 season in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome on Sept. 5 but that deal is off the table, senior associate athletic director Verge Ausberry said.

"That's not going to happen," Ausberry said of the possible matchup with Tulane, which would have been the first game between the longtime rivals since 2009. The schools agreed to play one more game in New Orleans after they mutually agreed to end a 10-game series that began in 2006 after four games.
