Thurmond will be too expensive. Sure we could make room but we are in bargain mode now.

He's not even in NE anymore, coming to us tomorrow

@JasonLaCanfora: Um, just want to reiterate, Brandon Browner has no contracts struck, despite any report to the contrary. Visits Saints Fri. In WSH now

We'll be made in the shade if we can somehow get Strief and Browner...hopefully it's possible with our money situation. The draft would be so easy for us. We could actually draft 2 WR's then

Just surround him with Lewis, Byrd, and Vaccaro(and hell throw in Bush) and explain to him join or die.

I could see the appeal if I was a DB.. We would easily rival Seattle's secondary with an addition like Browner. You could probably argue we'd be better, if you wanted.

We would because they are losing Thurmond(more than likely). So they really don't have a nickel guy(really they don't have a number 2 like us because their nickel is starting and Thurmond was their 2).

We be better off signing him to a two year deal so we wouldn't have to pay him shite until next year and let us sign strief

Cheap first year with incentive laden second that could be good money. That could attract him.

if we could somehow pull:

2yr deal for browner
3yr deal for strief

pray for mosley to fall and matthews available in the 2nd, we'd be set for a while.

X2

The thought of a week 5 secondary of Keenan, Browner, Byrd and Vacarro is just insane

I'm done with the whole 'a realistic trade for JG talk' since its not gonna happen lol

our current needs/question marks in my opinion are:

RT
#2 CB
C
WR
LB (both positions)
LT

if you could somehow get browner and strief (top 2 ?? are checked off), the biggest ?? in regards to a starter is center. That should be able to be found in the 3rd/4th round (check that off the list).

WR, LB, and LT are your biggest needs with the 1st, 2nd, 4th, 2x 5th, and 6th still.

That was never really going to happen. I think once FA opened and teams started spending money they realized getting him is a bad move.

Label WR as #3 WR. LT is fine with Armstead(though we need a backup). OLB is fine with Galette, Butler, and Dawson(and more then set if Haralson comes back). ILB is where we need speed and youth.

i really like Yawin Smallwood out of UCONN in the middle rounds. He is fast athletic and great in coverage
