I need 1 pallet of St. Augustine. I am going to pick it up. Where in BR has the least expensive pallets?

Damn I never even thought about the big hardware stores. I was thinking more of places that specialize in grass, etc.

Woerner on Airline. Just need to give them 1 day lead time. I think it was $139/pallet if I picked it up at their facility.

For St Aug, I've always bought from Woerner on Airline.

That is a good question. I am borrowing a buddy's F250 so I think it should have enough room.

A pallet of sod is pretty heavy also. Probably max out a typical utility trailer.

the pallet is 48" x 48" but I would worry more about weight. They are over 2000 lbs. per pallet and can be a good bit more if the moisture content of the turf is elevated... which it typically is. They will kill your average utility trailer! And will also max out an F-250 in the bed over the axle.

try landscape depot. Great service and prices. I just did my backyard using their stuff.

Any full sized truck will probably be okay with it. I had a pallet of Bermuda and a half dozen bags of top soil in the back if a half ton Silversdo this past weekend. No issues at all.
Not sure how much it all weighed, but it took all afternoon for two of us to install in my yard and it wore us out.
I can say with certainty that the entire project was much harder on my back and legs than on the truck. I highly recommend limiting yourself to a couple of hundred squares at a time....or get a couple of friends to help.

Nah. I did it with a F150. Had me riding a little lower but no handling issues.
