They're not pressuring shite. You can happily come all the way back from where ever you come from to defend yourself in front of a judge. Cops make mistakes, but in my experience, if you aren't an a-hole they don't treat you like one. I have never once seen a person get picked up for public intox that wasn't making a complete and utter arse out of themselves.

#1 your anecdotal experience is meaningless
#2 acting like an a-hole is not illegal

Add on top of that, when I used to go to PCB anyway, none of these tickets that are quickly dealt with go on their records.

depends on if you are breaking the law when you're being an a-hole. If you are drunk in public making being an a-hole, then yes in fact, you are breaking the law.

Yea cops act completely fair and level headed all the time.
They never overstep their boundaries

As for temporary court, they did that years ago to a point. You used to go in front of the judge in groups of offenses and they would have you out cleaning garbage on the street the next day.
Yes, there were many unconstitutional things done "years ago"

Actually I was. Booze was plentiful and I didn't want to screw with dope. When I was in college you could drink at 18. Dope wasn't worth it and I didn't need my mind altered more than what alcohol could do. We looked down on drug users because they were losers.
Dude how tight arse sheltered middle class protestant white conservative are you?

So your parents failed.

That's a scary way to go through life. And it sound like you don't do that. You drink and quit going to church.

I also don't concern myself with what everyone else is doing or getting away with. Worry about yourself.
My parents taught me to question everything and care about my community and my fellow man. Not to he a selfish person who only cares about himself.

And your guilty plea on your record?
I just dusted mine off. "Spring Break Special Court Instructions." It says in part:
"You have been charged with an offense punishable by a maximum of sixty days in jail and/or a $500 fine. Instead of being arrested, you have been given notice to appear at a specially set court at 8:00 A.M.....If you choose to plead guilty to the charge and this is your first offense, the court will withhold adjudication in your case. This means that you will not have a conviction on your record so that if you are ever asked whether you have been convicted of a crime, you may truthfully answer, "No."
(emphasis mine)
