Nope, not at all. But, the good news is, for those of us in South Louisiana, we keep adding appealing games in neutral site areas.

2010 - UNC in Atlanta
2011 - Oregon in Dallas
2013 - TCU in Dallas
2014 - Wisconsin in Houston
2015 - Tulane in New Orleans
2016 - Wisconsin in Green Bay

The neutral site games are appealing to alot of people, but it's sad it is taking away so many home games from season ticket holders.

Best kept secret in TS is that since the GBFTL moved to the north endzone, the West Uppers are the best seats in the house..you can hear the band, good views of the field and no TAF contribution.

And I'm done hoping for home and home series with powerhouse schools. No good can come from it during the regular season

Why do you say that no good can come from it? I wish these neutral games would stop. Although, I think I'm gonna go to Houston for the opener. Pretty psyched about that.

It's 2014 people don't go to the stadium. They watch at home.

Meh. It gets pretty packed for big games. A home and home gives a chance for revenge. Just a hypothetical, say we lost to Wisconsin in their house a couple years ago. They are coming to Tiger Stadium this season and the Tigers want revenge, people would come.

awesome, TAF has only like a bazillion corporations looking to buy those tickets

I bet more likely its ticket brokers that want the tickets to try to make money.

This is what happens when you have a national brand. Do you want to go back to having all games at night, 2 or 3 a year on TV and shitty facilities? I sure don't. The reason LSU is scheduling these neutral site games is because there is a demand. Watch how much hype surrounds the Lambeau game. Only good things can come from all of that.

Of course I don't want lsu to go back to football of the early 90's.

But what gets in my crawl particularly is the Wisconsin series. Wisconsin and lsu both have some of the most unique on campus football experiences in all of college football. I don't think you can argue a home and home on each campus would generate less buzz and excitement then the neutral site bs.

I don't like going to houston at all and lambeau is iconic in nfl circles, but I don't like giving up an awesome home and home on campus experience to benefit those two places. Honestly I would be so much more pumped to go to Madison for a game then to go to lambeau for an lsu game.

Neutral site games are fine for when we play the Tcu's teams of the world that I don't care about playing a game at. But, I don't like what could be epic iconic trips for each fan base being replaced by sterile neutral site games.

Definitely. I would strongly consider going, honestly.

Ridiculous that prices go up while good games are moved to neutral sites and those neutral sites get the economic impact.

Fair point...but this will fall on deaf ears with some of these dumazzes who think the trade-off in exposure is worth it.

Really? Seriously? Ok maybe...but take a look around at the next home game and see if all the seats are filled.

How can you prove it's not worth it?

I cant...obviously....I'm more concerned about the loss of revenue for us and the fact that we're cutting out a home game from an already mediocre home schedule.

You made a point a while back about E. Texas being a hotbed for recruiting and I totally agree. I just happen to believe that we don't have to go over there and show off just to get the recruits from that area. I said before, we are a national brand these days. They know where we are and the recruits that want to play for us are not going to be put off just b/c we don't come and play in Houston.

I like the home and home scenario better...just a personal preference. you said yourself youd rather go to Madison.

Absolutely. My desires don't always align with he Athletic Dept.'s desires or what is best for our program, though. It sucks, but LSU athletics and football particularly are a business. A huge business. It ceased being about the average joe like you and I many, many years ago.

So true...and I hope it doesn't eventually lead to the demise of our program. In the meantime...we get to suck on it!

None of us are privy to what goes on behind closed doors, but we know that getting a major program with title aspirations to come to BR for a night game isn't the easiest sell. It's a two way street leading to where we are now.
