Anyone here have Pliny and/or abrasive?
I have both. You're not getting them, though. I have one Abrasive left, and it probably won't last the weekend. I have a Pliny, and plan on getting some Sticky Hands, which is a hop bomb. Maybe I'll do my own side-by-side with Hop Venom, Forklift, Pallet Jack, and Double Jack... Hmmm...
At any rate, the Abrasive is staying here...

Going to Bend this weekend. Will have the kids with me. Planning on doing some snow sports stuff and hitting the breweries.
Going to hit a few breweries. Boneyard for sure. Probably Deschutes for a family dinner. Goodlife for a meal, and Crux for a beer...
Will give updates. I don't know how much brewery action i will be getting, because the kids will be with me. I'm still waiting for some FBDers to come north so we can do a true beer pilgramage...

Do you mean about FBDers coming? Can't be any weirder than the people I see here every day. I was hoping they would be my DD...

FBD
Slipped out of work about a half hour earlier than normal because I was sick of seeing kids already. Whoever came up with the idea to not give us the rest of the week off was a real moron. I had probably half my kids there but it felt like quadruple the normal amount. They were just WILD.

Please don't tell me you are a teacher complaining about time off

I'm complaining about the logistics of our time on. But sure, you're more than welcome to come hang out in my room with 149 15 to 17-year-old kids from the 7th and 9th wards. You'd probably scratch your head at their decision too.
Just be realistic -- what can you accomplish in a two-day week when you have half your students present and those that are present are wired from Mardi Gras break? Almost every other school in the city was off today and tomorrow as well. It just doesn't make sense. It was a logistical failure on their part.

I'm going to go ahead and invite myself and Steakbomb to this FBDGT. I might have to hit that place up sooner, though.

I'm surprised you don't drink something stronger than beer.

I keep a flask of Everclear in my desk.
(not really)
I'm not complaining about my job as it's rewarding, but there are definite moments where decisions are made by the people not in the classroom that make the job more difficult than it should be. But that's par for the course with every job, really.

FBD- Dr Hoptagon At the brewery.
Andrew just walked out with a 12 oz bottle that had a ghost label. Only asked "4 packs?" Then walked away. EXCITEMENT SHALL ENSUE!
