Mike Freeman: it's believed a handful of teams are preparing offers for Graham.

It's true love.
Thus, several general mangers say the Saints will have to fight to keep Graham, and the heavy price tag will not be as intimidating to some teams. These executives believe a handful of franchises are preparing offers to get Graham. They say this isn't speculation. However, no teams have officially revealed their hand. So, for now, it's partially speculation.
The best way to state this: Word is beginning to leak around the league that one or more teams will make a run at Graham and are more than willing to give up two first-rounders to get him. What hasn't leaked yet are the names of the teams.

This wouldn't surprise me. Sure, the non-exclusive franchise tag is the most common, but when is the last time it was applied to someone of Graham's caliber?

I will be shocked if there is more than one team that is willing to give this up.

I'm tired of all of this already. Just work out a deal already JG and Loomis.
Also, screw Sexton!
Also, screw Sexton!

I hope the rams do this and we get their 1's

With the amount of money it's going to cost us to keep him around in the long run, I think I'd rather have two first round picks from one of these mystery teams.

I agree. Make a trade to that guy.

If someone offers him 12 mil a year and is willing to give those picks up.....
Bye.
Bye.

The tag $ the NFL set is favorable to the Saints. But, if the arbitrator assigned to the appeal gives Graham wr money, the the Saints simply cannot afford him. I like Jimmy, but he is a liability at blocking, and he disappeared most of the 2nd half of the season. With the Saints' offensive system, and an infusion of speed at wr this offseason, I'm all for letting him go if a team is willing to send two first round picks.

I think it's more likely that they'll split the difference in arbitration, which would put the tag around 9.5.
I think if the Saints were absolutely dead set on keeping him, they would have put the exclusive tag on him. It's a bit more expensive, but there's ways to make room for it if need be.

That may not even matter. Some team may give him WR money regardless of the tag

frick, I'd take 2 first rounders over JG in a heartbeat.

Give us two first rounders and you can have him at 12 mil per year.
