The WatchESPN app is essentially just a tool to watch ESPN programming, which includes online exclusive content (ESPN3) and normal ESPN programming.
that would explain why the lsu/uk game was on watch espn (because it was on regular espn) and not on espn3 (guess they just decided not to stream it).

for example i checked two weekends ago and watch espn had the lsu/UK basketball game. i get out to alex box, hook the laptop up to lsu's wifi, go to espn3 and it wasnt there. was pretty pissed. ended up having to use zeto's slingbox.
i believe watchespn has all of espn3's content, but not necessarily the other way around.
why that is, i dont know.
Doesn't make sense. Anything I can watch on the WatchESPN app on my Roku or Apple TV, I can also watch by going to watchespn.com. Some things obviously require credentials from one of the authorized cable providers in order to be able to view.

hmmm is going to watchespn.com different from espn3.com? or do they just reroute?

They both end up rerouting to the same place.

also my laptop isnt really a laptop anymore. the battery sucks so it has to stay plugged in.
in the future, when using a laptop like this...pull the battery out when you leave it plugged in all the time so you don't ruin your battery. I learned that lesson the hard way

hmm well maybe it just glitched up or something that day with the lsu game. but i was stumped, and i had two very tech savvy guys out there and they didnt know why it wasnt pulling up either.

yes. otherwise you cant watch anything right.

Correct, anything that is being broadcoast on the ESPN channels that is.
You don't have to login for the online only ESPN3 content.
So yeah, if you logged in with the cable provider credentials you should have been able to watch anything being broadcast on any channel the login is authorized for. That's weird that it didn't work.

I purchased a dual band router that supports 450 mbps for each frequency. There was a very noticeable difference after I upgraded.
Chromecast doesn't support dual-band. Only 2.4 GHz

yes, I know. The fact that it supports up to 450 mbps was more of an upgrade over my old router than the fact it was dual band.

It worked on watchespn from the computer. It just wasn't showing on the upcoming events for some reason. We watched most of the 2nd half out there using watchespn.
Posted on 3/5/14 at 12:31 pm to zeto
oh. i didnt realize/or dont remember that.

When a game comes on one of the TV channels it doesn't show up on the upcoming around game time. You have to go to live and pick the channel it is suppose to be on.

I don't think I could cut cable. How do y'all watch replays of lsu games? If you were a huge soccer fan, how can you watch the games without some shitty stream from an Arab channel?
