Is Elbert Robinson enough of a difference maker for next season hoops?

It seems that OB III's junior season did little to advance his NBA stock, but the addition to a talented and developed Big Man could allow him to show his best in the more traditional role that would be expected of him in the NBA. The Tigers would be equally much deeper to bang it with the best of their opponents all game long.
What are your thoughts on him staying and the team's prospects [if he does or does not] with the addition of Robinson for next season?

Josh Gray may be the difference maker.
He's averaging over 33 ppg on 44% shooting. Only 29% from 3, so it appears he's more of an attack the basket guard. Also, dishing out five dimes per contest.
Going to need someone to space the floor.

I doubt it. Big men who have to shed weight for their HS to college transition always seem to need a year to adjust.

Josh Grey
Keith hornsby
A returning an improved duo of Martin and Mickey
Elbert
A combo of these is what will make a difference

Everyone thought Odo was that guy.
Just seems preseason expectations of incoming players are always way off

ill be happy if he can come anything close to what johnny did as a freshman, even that would be setting the bar pretty high

People thought he'd be a good role player. Nobody thought he'd be a difference maker.

No Bridgewater mention?
Guess I forgot about him, but I don't see him as a difference maker. Solid role player but not a game changer.

For a borderline high level 4* player?

JOB.was more highly rated rhan Elbert. He should still get at least 15/gm though.

Robinson is a project, unlikely to make a major contribution in year one, IMO. The difference makers will be Gray, Martin improving, and Mickey coming back.

Gray and Hornsby will be the difference makers

Project isn't the right word. Epps and Malone are projects, Elbert just needs to lose weight for conditioning purposes.

Elbert will be a signifant factor on the floor with JOB3. Takin a lot of the workload. We should be able to lock down the paint with those two plus Mickey's long arms around the rim.
If JJ can work on getting his squad to clamp down on defense correctly LSU will be making deep run in the tourney for the next 4-5 years at least, longer if JJ can keep the talent coming.

From what I hear, he's been working hard to come in in good shape. It'd be great if he didn't have to spend his first year running suicides. We'll need him to play 15-20 MPG.

And will they bring defensive intesity with them. Ain't going to get it here that is for sure.

I have seen him play several times. He needs to lose a lot of weight and needs to get tougher. He catches the ball well, but smaller players rip it from him way to often. IMO he will need a couple of years in the program before he a solid contribution.

Im not even sure Robinson will play more than Malone next season with his conditioning.
Man Malone needs to come along a bunch from this year to next...
