Just comes with time. I have really good raw strength. What holds me back the most is my shoulder flexibility. I hate overhead stuff though. Snatches/OH Squats are a nightmare above 135. Just smokes me


As you can imagine at my size I am not an endurance guy though but been trying to work on it. I look athletic right now but if I got in great shape, around 200-205 and ran more, I would be a force in the open. Just hard to quit drinking and eating pizza as a college student.

Well you are still young so jeep at it. I am 5'9 200lbs but im 37 years old. Its very hard to maintain anything at this fricking age

Thanks for the add in the OP, my 72 looks pitiful compared to the rest of y'all's hahaha. My DU's hurt me. I could snatch 55lbs all day long. Hoping for some box jumps and deadlifts in the future open WODS. Still need the bands for my pull ups, I can do two strict pull-ups then I'm needing a band, still learning the kip

In the opposite, I only weigh 165 so the gymnastic movements are easy for me but the strength stuff kills me. The open weights are usually so light that I do well most of the time.

We're pretty much the exact opposite. I'm 6'0 180 with all-time flexibility and technique, but my raw strength is a joke. I've tried everything in the world outside of roids to increase it significantly, but at 26 I'm realizing this shite just aint happenin.

I have respectable numbers in snatch and jerk, but only because I have perfect form and decent explosion. When it comes to raw power, however, I'm significantly lacking and it sucks. You can only push through a workout so much when you can't finish the lift!

I do have game good stamina, though, yea you heard it ladies
