Pretty much. It's easy to see why the last Pope split. Too much to bear. The new guy is a good man, but he's up against the wall. It's a lot of powerful high up with their lives on the line, if the Church were to fess up and pay up.
What looks ugly is not the homosexuality per se...but the hypocrisy. The pedophilia of course, is what it is.
At least this thing ended on a positive note of the new Pope. God bless him in his work. It's a mess in that place.

Don't know why anyone's shocked by this. It takes a weird type of person to take a vow of celibacy. Mix that with money, power, and religious authority and the influence you can assert over the impressionable is pretty big. If it doesn't attract deviants, it breeds them.
Obviously this is not true for all of them, but the scale is pretty... damning....
