Like BP said the summer heat will eventually kill it but if you want to keep it from coming out you will need to kill it before it produces seeds.

That's henbit for sure, youve got a real blessing on your hand. Mix a bowl of lemon juice, agave nectar and sunflower seeds. A bowl of henbit and that dressing is a favorite of mine.
