I think this is smart on Paul's part. Nugent will still support him and Paul won't give liberals the opportunity to label him a racist just because he didn't disparage Nugent's remarks.

I think that's the key here. So much of politics is perception and not only reality. Just like with the black outreach, these things begin to add up. The more he can get people of all races to perceive libertarians positively, the more people will be open to it.

Agree. Nugent is a fricking moron and anyone with any political sense should distance himself from these types.
