Most of his reforms aren't really reforms. Most of them are just made to look like attempts at reforms in order to check some box on his national electability resume. For example, his ethics reforms exempt his own office. His educational plan hacked a lot of spending without addressing the reasons why that was the only place spending could be cut or why so much money was needed in the first place. He proposed ending the state income tax without actually thinking through where the state would make up that money without adding to property taxes (which most individuals don't pay). His voucher plan is a good idea poorly executed and may be unconstitutional. His "discussions" at legalizing marijuana are nothing more than "discussions" meant to generate good publicity and no real changes.

He's seen as an empty suit who had so much promise, but instead focused too much on his resume and not enough on actually trying to help his state.

i don't get it. i know he's cut alot of spending but if you look at the different economic rankings since he's been governor, he's done a great job
