The point the article seems to miss is that much of the concern from the right stems from Obama's State of the Union speech and his declared intent to use executive orders MORE in the FUTURE, bypassing congress MORE often than he has in the PAST.

I mean okay I guess but how can you criticize a guy for something he hasn't done?

He declared his intention, as of January 2014, to bypass congress more often in the future and to govern more by executive order. I think that declared intention is worthy of criticism.

But he HAS done it. And as another poster said, it's the type of executive orders that disturbs me.

For example. I don't recall a President ever issuing EO's for agencies to ignore existing laws. Or, EO's retroactively amending parts of existing laws by changing deadlines set by congress in the law.

To me, that is a very dangerous precedent.

He can't be criticized for something he said he is going to do?

Did he not ignore his responsibility to maintain the border and enforce ALL laws on the books, or did he pick and choose which ones to enforce, including laws he himself signed into law?
